Information You Submit
A name, place, or other term entered in an outside search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. A message sent by email or through a contact channel may contain your name, address, and any facts you choose to provide. We retain it as needed to answer and do not share it outside our organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Automatic Technical Data
Routine logs and analytics may record technical details when a page loads.
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring page, when supplied
- Date and time of access
Cookies may help measure site use and remember technical preferences. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, though parts of the site or an outside tool may then work differently.
Purposes for Data Use
Collected data supports operation of the site and its connections to outside services.
- Keep pages available and responsive
- Send a search request to the selected partner
- Measure which resources visitors use
- Diagnose errors and security concerns
- Display advertising that may reflect interests
Outside Websites and Advertising
Links may lead to the Boundary County Sheriff, Idaho courts, IDOC, federal locators, release-record sources, or outside search services. Once you leave, that destination's privacy notice controls its collection and use. Advertising partners may track activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems rather than ours.
Parties Receiving Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be provided to search partners that process a query, analytics vendors, advertising networks, and law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid court order or other lawful demand.
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard administrative and technical safeguards suited to a public website. No internet transmission, storage service, or connected system is immune from intrusion, loss, or misuse. We therefore cannot promise breach-proof security.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and verification, you may ask for a copy of personal data we hold, seek correction of inaccurate data, request deletion, or object to certain processing. These requests concern data held by this private site. Requests for Boundary County public records remain governed by the Idaho Public Records Law, Idaho Code title 74, chapter 1, and must go to the government custodian.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this notice as practices or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with its new effective date.
